The Reynolds Mansion is one of the few remaining pre Civil War homes in Western North Carolina. The Mansion sits on a five acre site, with spectacular views, near the the foot of Reynolds Mountain. Steeped in history with ties to Senator Robert Rice Reynolds “Buncombe Bob”, Evelyn Walsh McLean and the Hope Diamond, and the small emerging population of what is now Asheville, the magnificent Mansion was built in 1847 by Daniel Reynolds and his family.
