The Best Firkin Beer Festival

If you are a craft beer lover, you probably know Asheville is “Beer City USA”, but maybe you’re looking for a special reason to visit our city and an Asheville Bed and breakfast.  This is it! The Best Firkin Beer Festival is happening April 27, 2013 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. More than 23 breweries will be serving cask conditioned, barrel aged and specialty beers at this pre-prohibition era festival.

We beer lovers know “Firkin” as cask. Firkin beer is unfiltered and unpasteurized beer which is conditioned (including secondary fermentation) and served from a cask without additional nitrogen or carbon dioxide pressure. Rounding out the festival will be the fantastic tunes of The Big Nasty Jazz Band and classic eats from The Lowdown Food Truck.
