It’s summertime in the mountains of Asheville NC, and that means rejoicing in all the outdoor activities our beautiful region offers to a visitor. Whether it be music and the arts, festivals, shopping, dining and farm tours, floating down rivers, or hiking in the cooler elevations to enjoy a view of the Blue Ridge, your Asheville Bed and Breakfast innkeeper will have expert recommendations to suit your taste and a restorative place to return at the end of your day’s adventures.
The air-conditioned indoors still has much to offer, especially when it comes to the Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands. The Asheville Civic Center will host over 200 highly accomplished craftspeople July 19-22. They will be selling their distinctive items, and there will be featured demonstrations. It’s a perfect opportunity to shop for an exquisite locally made treasure or gift to take home from your visit with us. The guild also operates the Folk Art Center along the Blue Ridge Parkway, so if you’re not here the weekend of the festival, your innkeeper will gladly direct you to their beautiful gallery and shop, or one of the many other shopping opportunities in Asheville.
