Visitors who stay at an Asheville area Bed & Breakfast in the fall are surrounded by natural beauty, but the striking color palette extends beyond the mountains’ plentiful trees.
On October 19-20, Asheville’s North Carolina Arboretum will host the annual show of the North Carolina Chrysanthemum Society. This popular event, judged by accredited National Chrysanthemum Society judges using strict NCS standards, features hundreds of blooms in an array of gorgeous colors and sizes.
Totaling 13 classes and more than 3,000 cultivars, the Chrysanthemum has the largest range of color and floral form of any flower. Originating in China, these varieties are now grown in temperate locations around the globe.
The Arboretum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free with an $8 parking fee. Click here for directions and plan your trip from an Asheville Bed & Breakfast Association Inn.
