CATS at Flat Rock Playhouse

A perk to staying in an Asheville area Bed & Breakfast is its proximity to the State Theater of North Carolina.  Home to some of the finest shows from Murphy to Manteo, the Flat Rock Playhouse in neighboring Henderson County extends its legacy with a much anticipated production of  CATS.
Based on T.S. Eliot’s poetry collection Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical focuses on the annual ascension of one special cat to the Heaviside layer.  The show originally opened in London’s West End in 1981, ran for a record 21 years, and now comes to Western North Carolina.
The Playhouse’s production runs from September 4 to October 6 in the Downtown venue, located at 2661 Greenville Highway.  Tickets are $40 with discounts available for seniors, AAA members, and military personnel.  Showtimes are Wednesday through Sunday, 2 p.m. and/or 8 p.m. depending on the day.  Check the Playhouse calendar to select a specific date and time
